Not a news recap, but a decision map: what is moving XAU/USD, where the market regime changes, and how volatility affects a Ghana → Dubai physical shipment.
Gold has entered a correction after a strong August. Short timeframes are bearish, the daily is neutral, and the weekly and monthly signals remain strong. Real yields and a repricing of the Fed path are applying pressure; central-bank buying, positive ETF flows and geopolitical risk provide structural support.
Friday's roughly 3% drop broke the short-term impulse, but has not yet proved a reversal of the higher-timeframe trend.
The sequence is payrolls → U.S. 10Y → DXY. Oil is two-sided: a haven impulse for gold, but an inflation and rate risk.
For a physical transaction, defining the benchmark, PMT, final assay, payability and final-settlement trigger is more robust than trying to predict price.

Price is close to $4,439–4,445. This is compression, not a clean trend signal.
SMA50 $4,484.88 / EMA50 $4,480.26. A recovery above this cluster is needed to improve the daily structure.
SMA100 $4,549.28 / EMA100 $4,518.09. Supply is likely to strengthen here during a recovery.
SMA200 $4,566.11 / EMA200 $4,523.32. Price is below the cluster; a medium-term recovery is not confirmed.
Following the August acceleration, price moved back inside the volatility envelope, a configuration commonly associated with normalising overextension. Numerical band values are not quoted because no single verified figure was available from the selected sources at the snapshot time. This is an intentional limitation rather than false precision.

The week's main event: jobs, unemployment and wages can shift rate probabilities.
Decision and updated projections. A material probability of a hike is already priced.
